All electronics (including TVs), all appliances (including freon/refrigerant bearing items), and rechargeable batteries are accepted. Items will be delivered to the R2v3-certified facility in Sheboygan, WI for proper processing. Other miscellaneous scrap metal is also accepted.

Bring your electronics to the county-sponsored collection event. Electronics will be accepted for FREE! All data will be destroyed, and equipment responsibly recycled in accordance with First Choice’s non-landfill policy.

FREE Appliance & Scrap Metal Collection Event
Tuesday, May 19| 1pm - 6pm
300 Oak Ridge Pkwy, Baldwin, WI 54002
Join us for a special recycling event hosted by St. Croix County in partnership with Amery Auto Salvage. Bring any items or parts of items that are over 60% metal, including but not limited to appliances, yard equipment, scrap metal, lead-acid batteries, copper, and other metals for free!
- Limited staff and equipment will be available onsite, so please plan on unloading your own items.
- Do NOT bring large items, fencing or spools of wire to the event - it causes problems with loading equipment. Please bring directly to Amery Auto Salvage. 715-268-8322
Prepare your appliances for drop-off:
- Cut cord (can still be recycled at event)
- Remove loose glass and plastic
- Tape doors shut

FREE Upholstered Furniture Disposal Event

Upholstered furniture can be difficult to donate due to contamination or moisture.
St. Croix County is holding a collection event to help with disposal costs.

- Upholstered chairs
- Upholstered ottomans

- Maximum of (2) items per household is allowed
- Residents will be required to unload their own items

Hazardous Waste Voucher Program
Dispose of your hazardous waste for free any time of year
A voucher is available so that residents can coordinate disposal of their hazardous waste through Logistics Recycling Inc. (LRI). Once you provide a materials list, LRI will contact you to schedule a drop-off appointment. This program is for St. Croix County residents only. Unscheduled drop-offs will not be accepted.
Oil-based paints are now covered for free. The cost for latex paints will not be covered under the voucher program. When Latex paints are brought to LRI the resident will be responsible for the disposal fee.
